We believe there is a place for a plant-based diet. We believe in the subtlety of Japanese cooking and the healing power of macrobiotic foods and principles. How does all of this fit into a busy, modern day lifestyle? That’s where we come in. We’re here to introduce you to the mineral rich world of sea vegetables, to demystify how to support the gut microbiome and to learn how to use food to heal yourself.
We created HealthGoods Market to share products, recipes, life stories, and tips to help you achieve your health goals, wherever you are in your health journey. We aim to make shopping for the highest quality products simple, affordable and convenient. The products we sell in our market have all been personally tested to ensure they are the highest quality healthy foods, top notch kitchen supplies, the best HEPA air purifiers, and effective body massagers.
We have a clear mission at HealthGoods Market: to help you and your family live healthier lives. Good health starts at home and sometimes it requires asking for help. Simply put, we want you to love yourself and love your home, and know that we support your journey towards healthy living.
To create a healthy home, our family eats a mostly vegan diet with occasional seafood, recently dubbed ‘seagan’. We follow a macrobiotic inspired diet and found it difficult to buy the ingredients we needed. So, we’ve sourced our favorite macrobiotic foods including miso, mirin, umeboshi, wakame, fermented foods and much more. We are always expanding our selection and would love to know what you want us to stock.
My family and friends tease me about my single use kitchen accessories. I have tested all of the donabe pots, pressure cookers, suribachi, and ceramic graters that we sell. They all live in my kitchen and are used on a regular basis.
My mother-in-law suffered through chemical sensitives for years and has fought her way back to health. About 10 years ago, we tested air purifiers and fell in love with the Amaircare product line. We’ve been promoting their Hepa Air Purifiers ever since and have multiple units running in our home, keeping our air fresh and free of allergens.
Physical fitness is such an integral part of healthy living. Keeping your body limber through both exercise and massage is a great way to promote health. Both my husband and I have suffered through chronic back, neck and body pains as we’ve gotten older. He uses our Jeanie Rub body massager daily to help keep low back pain and plantar fasciitis at bay.
