Faucet Diagram |
How It Works
Water travels from the cold water line connection up to the faucet where it is controlled by the faucet on/off lever. When the faucet lever is moved to the on position, water from the cold water line continues down to the water filter system through the filter cartridges and then back up to the faucet to be dispensed through the faucet spout. The faucet is all metal and chrome plated brass. Long reach style makes filling containers with filtered water easy. Push lever down for controlled filling or lifting the lever up locks it in place for continuous filling until you push lever back down. Faucet has color coded tubing fully attached and ready to install. Note: Only Aquasana faucets may be used with Aquasana systems as they are a vented "pressure-less" design that does not allow constant household pressure to be maintained in the filter housing when the faucet is off.

Step One - determine the appropriate location of the faucet to be mounted. Faucet may be mounted using an existing hole for a sprayer nozzle or other accessory. You can drill a 7/8" hole in the sink or countertop for a new location if an existing hole is not available.
Step Two - mount the faucet through the countertop or sink as shown in the instruction diagram using the chrome top plate, black washer, steel washer and brass nut to tighten the assembly.
Step Three - mount the filter housing to the cabinet or wall using the white steel mounting bracket and screws. Make sure the location of the filter unit allows the tubing from the faucet to connect to the filter housing without king the tubing. Faucet tubing is approximately 42" long.
Step Four - turn off your cold water supply valve and attach either supplied "T" valve fitting to the cold water line as shown in the instruction diagram.
Step Five - once the filter and faucet are mounted and the "T" valve is attached to the cold water supply line, connect the White tubing to filter cap "A", the Blue tubing to cap "B" and the Red tubing to the "T" valve by pushing the tubing into the locking collets. Open the cold water supply valve to allow water to flow to the faucet. Check for leaks. Lift the black lever on the faucet until locked in position to allow water to run until all cloudiness and air bubbles are gone. The initial flow of water may be slightly discolored and cloudy due to carbon fines and air bubbles. This is normal. Once the water flows clear in about 2-3 minutes, the Aquasana water filter system is ready for use. |
