Indoor Air
Quality Summary
The performance of an air filter
is dependent on the the amount of air flowing through it and
the efficiency of the filter media. It is also dependent
on the amount of particles, their size and rate at which the filter medium
losses it effectiveness. In the case of adsorbents, the effectiveness is related
to the amount of gasses in the air and the quantity and depth
of the adsorbent material. Many chemicals produce health effects at levels below
perceptible odors, therefore removing odors alone is not an indicator of healthy
indoor air.
