| Vacuuming the home with conventional vacuum cleaners can create indoor air quality problems. Conventional vacuum cleaners don't utilize High Efficiency Filtration, or are not sealed units that are certified to filter out at least 99.9% of all particles down to 0.3 microns (1/300th the size of a human hair). Sealed vacuums that utilize High Efficiency Filtration remove particles and irritants other conventional vacuums can't remove. If you are not vacuuming your house with a Certified Sealed Vacuum System, you may be allowing house dust, dirt, bacteria and allergens such as mold spores, pollen and dust mites to be redistributed back into your surrounding indoor air. Failure to extract these particles from the home contributes to their build-up and proliferation which may trigger unhealthful allergy and asthmatic reactions in you and your family.
Household Dust - Household dust consists of tiny particles of dirt, portions of fibers, pollen, chemical residues, mold spores, dead skin flakes, pet hair, animal dander, decaying organic matter and microbiological contaminants such as viruses, bacteria and fungi. Dust mites are a common indoor allergen nuisance and feed on several components of house dust such as dead skin flakes.
Choosing a Vacuum Cleaner
