- Our 100% Recycled Polyester Curtain
Valances are custom manufactured and represent
a quality in environmentally sensitive shower curtain
accessories unavailable until now. The Recycled Polyester fabric was
custom woven and treated/finished to provide superior
performance compared to natural fiber options such as those made
from Cotton or Hemp.

Fabric Treatments - The
curtain fabric will not shrink with repeated washing. It is made to
size right out of the package and requires no repeated washings to
shrink to the correct size for your tub or shower stall. The
curtains have been dyed with a low impact dye process to give the
valance curtains color options to meet any bathroom decor.
Non-hazardous, anti-microbial treatment has been applied to the
fabric to help prevent mold growth and unsightly mildew
discoloration, reducing your exposure to mold spores and potential
allergens. A water repellent finish has also been applied to the
curtain fabric to help keep water off the material for quick drying
and further prevention of mold and mildew growth. There is no
off-gassing of the curtain fabric or toxic odors. All odors from the
fabric treatments are removed during the curing and finishing
operations of the fabric.

Sewing Quality - Our
curtains
are manufactured on professional intricate sewing equipment to
obtain fine detail and quality. We manufacture these curtains with a
high stitch per inch and leave no exposed cut fabric edges on the
hems. All hems are straight and uniform in dimension. Other
manufacturer's products are made on canvas sewing machinery designed
for heavy material manufacturing leaving unnecessary thick thread
lines, low stitches per inch and uneven hems with exposed cut edges.

Superior Performance
- Recycled Polyester has all
of the properties of virgin (new) Polyester. It is the most
widely used synthetic fiber. Our valance curtains are made
from 100% recycled material containing post consumer and
post industrial Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) waste to
give you all the characteristics of a synthetic Polyester
material with the added benefit of environmental
responsibility. Polyester will not hold moisture and wetness
to contribute to mold and mildew growth. Polyester has high
resiliency to resist wrinkles and if wrinkled, will recover
well to maintain a good appearance. The abrasion resistance
and strength of Polyester is excellent, whether wet or dry.
The material is also resistant to sunlight damage. Polyester
fibers are extruded to make continuous filament yarns.
Unlike Cotton, the manufactured fibers used to make
Polyester yarn are continuous in length and have no
protruding ends that can cause lint or pilling. You won't
see the build-up of link in the dryer screen indicating a
breakdown of the material.

Our EnviroCurtaintm
Shower Curtains meet the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
guidelines for recycled products. Made from 100% recycled
materials including post consumer and post industrial
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) waste. This keeps these
materials out of landfills and provides a value and demand for
the base materials to encourage recycling.

The material used
for our shower curtains conserves natural resources by reducing
the energy consumption necessary for production and protects
petroleum resources by offsetting the need to produce virgin
(new) polyester. Each full size EnviroCurtaintm
Shower Curtain saves 130,000 BTU's of energy compared to the
production of virgin polyester, equivalent to over 1 gallon of
gasoline. The sale of 26 full size recycled polyester shower
curtains saves enough energy in the manufacturing of yarn to
power a home for an entire month.

valance can be used as a
decorative accessory to the outside of the shower curtain or used on
a bathroom window rod for matching or coordinating color decor. You
can mix and match colors between the shower curtain and valance to
create a custom look.
