Non Vinyl Shower Curtains
Mold and mildew is a major
contributor to poor indoor air quality and the bathroom is a big problem
area. Moisture and high temperatures produced in the bathroom may contribute to
mold growth. Regular vinyl shower curtains release chemical gases
and odors from their materials and are manufactured with non-renewable
and chemical resources. Vinyl shower curtains are difficult to clean and
end up in a landfill where they don't decompose and could release
dangerous substances into the ground. Consider the cost of buying new
vinyl shower curtains every time they become grimy and moldy.

Curtains are custom manufactured and represent
a quality in environmentally sensitive shower curtains unavailable until now.
The fabrics were custom woven and treated/finished to
provide superior performance compared to untreated natural fiber shower
curtains such as those made from Cotton or Hemp.

Heavyweight Material - Our
shower
curtains are made with heavier material and tighter weave than other
fabric shower
curtains. Heavier weight means less billowing while
showering, longer durability and no chance of water penetration.

Sizes - We offer
a larger range of sizes to meet various needs in shower stalls and
tubs. Other manufacturers offer short widths such as 36" stall sizes
and 68"-70" tub sizes. Our 100% Recycled Polyester and

Fabric Treatments -
Non-hazardous, anti-microbial treatment has been applied to the
fabric to help prevent mold growth and unsightly mildew
discoloration, reducing your exposure to mold spores and potential
allergens. A water repellent finish has also been applied to the
shower curtain fabric to help keep water off the material for quick
drying and further prevention of mold and mildew growth. There is no
off-gassing of the shower curtain fabric or toxic odors like vinyl
curtain liners.

The Recycled Polyester shower curtain fabric will not shrink with repeated washing. It is
made to size right out of the package and requires no repeated
washings to shrink to the correct size for your tub or shower stall.
The curtains have been dyed with a low impact dye process to give
the shower curtains color options to meet any bathroom decor.

The Organic Cotton shower
curtains are made a bit oversize and will shrink to size
with the first machine washing. The White color is obtained
from bleaching with Hydrogen Peroxide and the Natural color
has no color treatments is a pleasant light tan color

Sewing Quality - Our
shower curtains
are manufactured on professional intricate sewing equipment to
obtain fine detail and quality. We manufacture these curtains with a
high stitch per inch and leave no exposed cut fabric edges on the
hems. All hems are straight and uniform in dimension. Other
manufacturer's products are made on canvas sewing machinery designed
for heavy material manufacturing leaving unnecessary thick thread
lines, low stitches per inch and uneven hems with exposed cut edges.
Certified Organic Cotton
Certified Organic means a
verification process was performed by an independent state or
private organization to ensure that the strict organic standards
were followed in the crop or product's production. The
production, processing and handling of the raw material used to
make our Organic Cotton Shower Curtains have been Certified by
the Texas Department of Agriculture in accordance to State Law
under the Texas Department of Agriculture's Organic Standards
and Certification and in accordance with Federal Law under the
National Organic Program. The processing of the raw material
into yarn has been Certified by Oregon Tilth under the Global
Organic Textile Standard.
Cotton textiles make
up half of the planet's fabric sales, therefore making a shift
toward organic production will have a major beneficial impact on
all of us by reducing toxic chemical human exposure and
pollution to our air, water, food and land. Organic crop
production is based on a system of farming that doesn't use
toxic synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides to

Recycled Polyester
 Recycled Polyester has all of the properties of virgin (new)
Polyester. It is the most widely used synthetic fiber. Our
shower curtains are made from 100% recycled material containing
post consumer and post industrial Polyethylene Terephthalate
(PET) waste to give you all the characteristics of a synthetic
Polyester material with the added benefit of environmental
responsibility. This keeps these
materials out of landfills and provides a value and demand for
the base materials to encourage recycling. Our EnviroCurtain®
Shower Curtains meet the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
guidelines for recycled products. The material used
for our shower curtains conserves natural resources by reducing
the energy consumption necessary for production and protects
petroleum resources by offsetting the need to produce virgin
(new) polyester. |
